Iconic rock band Mr. Big has announced their upcoming 10th studio album, aptly titled “Ten,” set for release on July 12th. This new album will feature 11 original tracks. In tribute to their late drummer Pat Torpey, the band members—Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, and Billy Sheehan—have enlisted the exceptional talents of Nick D’Virgilio on drums. The album was produced by Jay Ruston and Mr. Big.

The announcement of Mr. Big’s 10th studio album, “Ten,” is bittersweet as the band is currently in the midst of their farewell tour, the Big Finish. Over the past year, they have been on the road, saying their goodbyes to fans. This studio album will mark their final farewell. The first single and accompanying video, “Good Luck Trying,” has a distinct 70s blues rock feel that harkens back to the band’s earliest work.

Eric Martin comments on ‘Ten’:

This new album doesn’t copy anything from the 9 previous studio records its all new stuff from scratch.. this is raw, unadulterated riff rock and blues with all the Mr. Big trimmings.

Paul Gilbert on the new songs lyrics:

Overall, it’s about being overwhelmed with life, and realizing that you won’t win many of the battles, but still fighting to the end. And keeping a sense of humor about it by saying to anyone nearby, ‘Wish me good luck trying!’
